下面讲这个被熊吃掉的男人，名叫Timothy Treadwell，美国二流演员，从小喜欢小动物，小时候最喜欢的毛绒玩具就是熊。他因为失去个角色机会而沉迷于酒精、毒品。他自称在阿拉斯加和熊生活在一起后从毒瘾和酒瘾中恢复过来。此后他每年夏天都去阿拉斯加的国家公园安营扎寨度过整个夏天，这一去就去了十二个夏天。但是就在第十三个夏天（实际上已是初秋2003年10月6日），他被他最挚爱的熊吃掉了，被一起吃掉的还有他当时的女友Amie Huguenard.
Youtube上可以找到他临死前的录音。心脏不好的不要听了，里面是人被熊袭击时的惨叫以及肢体被撕裂的声音。
还有一部根据他自己拍摄的脚本进行剪辑的纪录片《Grizzly Man》，里面加进了Timothy生前好友、父母、国家公园管理人员和动物学家的采访。

纪录片《Grizzly Man》里大部分人都没有对Timothy的死讯感到太震惊，有些人甚至说他deserve it。Timothy在录影里表达了对人类社会的厌恶之情和对野外世界的喜爱之情，他甚至去摸熊刚拉出来的粪便，他说这粪便带着温度，可以感受熊体内的感觉。
国家公园管理人员在约定的2003年10月6日前去接Timothy和他女友时不见其踪影，也无人应答。后在帐篷不远处发现了半只手臂（手臂上还带着手表）、Timothy面目模糊的头颅和部分脊柱。另外一边是他女友的部分躯体，被树枝和泥土覆盖，守着躯体的是一只标号为141的熊（想必是吃完Timothy吃饱了，暂时把Timothy女友留着下顿吃，埋起来是怕其它熊发现被抢走）。于是工作人员射杀了这只熊，在这只熊的肚子里找到了Timothy的手指和腿。
这是Katmai国家公园自成立85年来第一例人类被熊吃掉的事件。
影片的最后以Bob Mcdill的《Coyotes》（《郊狼》）歌曲结尾，歌词的大致意思是一个憎恶现代文明的牛仔消失在荒野，而那天晚上在月光笼罩的山头，多了一条嚎叫的郊狼。
