You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger resembles other Woody Allen movie positively in its tone and style, but unlike other Allen movies, it lacks room for our imagination to run wild. The majority of the acting is flawless (especially with Gemma Jones), but unfortunately the movie lacks a central theme to string all the romances together. The film attempts to play on satire on various front, but falls short in the majority of them, as it fails to find receptive eyes or ears willing to partake on this interwoven ambitious modern day romantic comedy. Not Woody at his best as it lacks the essential Woody sense of pragmatism in his films.
