The ending surrenders to what people think is right, which bothers me a lot. It could have brought the whole fucking diseased, corrupt temple down on my your head and it could have been Biblical, but it hasn't. I still remember the question from Nick:" You think your wife and daughter would feel good about you killing in their names?" Well, revenge is never about the dead, it is always about how to make the survivor not to be a walking dead even if the costs being their lives. Instead of being a helpless law-abiding citizen without any choice but killing innocent, forced to be a POLITICAL CORRECT tragic character by the established destiny makes me even sadder.
