意大利人的早餐标配~
granita: 碎冰,沙冰饮料 a semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings, like a sorbet*. two most common flavors: almond and lemon
*sorbet: 沙冰,雪芭 a frozen dessert made from sweetened water with flavoring
brioche:布里欧,(可能就是布里奥?)法式黄油鸡蛋圆面包 a French originated pastry rich in egg and butter which gives it a rich and tender crumb.
“Almost all Sicilians eat granita and brioche for breakfast. There are two kinds of people: those who prefer the almond, and those who prefer the lemon, and they don’t change ;).” The Italians sure have a sweet tooth :).

apricot 和almond
意大利人真的很爱吃apricot,算是staple了。跟call me by your name 里演得一样哎~ 果酱、果汁、生吃、做甜点,只有想不到。


sicily almond:意大利当地特有的杏仁品种,跟我们平常吃的很不一样呢,白白滑滑的。口感应该很不错。但是现在这种杏仁产量大大下降了,因为traders(中间商、杏仁贩子?)不愿在这种杏仁上投资。老爷爷很努力地在自家的甜品中使用这种杏仁,希望能够留住这种传统农产品!


老爷爷自创甜品Terra Nostra,在当地语言中意思是“The land”。上层为西西里杏仁,下层为pistachio(开心果)。
藏红花和杏仁蛋糕。这就是传说中的藏红花saffron!料理鼠王中出现过的,主要用于提味和餐点的着色~

cannoli: 乳清奶酪卷;奶油甜馅煎饼卷;奶油煎饼卷 Cannoli consist of tube-shaped shells of fried pastry dough, filled with a sweet, creamy filling usually containing ricotta. The Italian singular is cannolo meaning "little tube”. 外皮是油炸的,内陷是甜的,大概非常像西班牙的churros(吉事果)?又甜又油,糖+炸面,热量炸了:)
