It is shameful for those closeted politician to vote against something that they actually are. If one can't face up who he/she is, how can he/she have the courage and integrity to change others' lives? But outing others does violate their privacy, especially when they are not ready and do it publicly. It would damage one's career, family and even loved ones. So there should be a line when crossed, we can safely say it's justified. In the film, those Republicans are deserved hypocrite!

Back in China, that's why we can never catch up with rest of the world in culture and political issues.
We don't have racial issues, coz we are mono-raced
We don't have political voting, coz we are single-partyed.
Women rights, minority rights, other human rights discussion(merely discussion without any form of strong action) are all in the realm of party censorship.
In spite of failure on gay rights equality at the moment, it is a movement that wakes many more people's awareness of this issue.

What I don't understand is, many countries do have domestic partnership or civil union (not as good as marriage though)even in the US, why can't we have it? Bear in mind that many people saying no to gay marriage is because it is against their religion (needed further debate though), we, not a religious country (we believe in Evolution for Christ sake), totally block the concept of homosexuality, let alone gay rights!

Lastly, don't give me the abnormality shit, if you think attraction to same sex is abnormal, you should read books, get in touch with science, it is all over in nature, which we are part of. We appreciate what we appreciate, to those feudal-minded, money-sucking, selfish, homophobic, conceited Chinese ass!
