In the last episode, when he tried one last time to trick the murderer, and failed, Poirot gave us such a smile it almost broke my heart. Both of them, and us audience then knew, there was no other way. But it was only later, when Hastings was told the truth, it began to hurt terribly.
Can't say no more. Requiem for the detective with his impeccable gray cells.
I watched two or three episodes from season one then decided to check out the final season. It was sensational, this journey with Poirot, filled with sorrows and regrets, still it had its comforting moments.
