Mark Easterbrook finds a priest dying in an alley and is accused of the murder by the police. Mark and Kate discover a connection to the mysterious house 'The ...$这部改得还不错，背景虽然移到现代但剧情依然一致，凶手身份变为医生给他提供了一个更好的理由陷害老头，老头装瘸是为了接应银行劫匪更合理，就是最后破案是因为主角偶然发现凶手偷走的带有铊的牙膏这点略侥幸。改编者还曾为四集Morse和一集Frost担任编剧。$各种改编版都证明了一件事: 高手只有阿婆。$男主很像英剧神探夏洛克里的华生。没想到其实就是一个下毒案，并且一开始就判断凶手是那个医生，但剧情却啰啰嗦嗦一直上演着男女之恋，最终也没看明白个所以然来。字幕组的水平很差，不光是翻译的语法错误语句不通，时间轴也对不上。$因为错过了开头，因此后面也没怎么看懂$相同姓氏的人物，似曾相識的情節，但與BBC的二集電視劇講述的簡直是二個完全不同的故事，就像基本元素重新組合，原始材料拆散重裝，一個就是投毒謀殺案，一個則成了驚悚女巫秀
