George Sands, a young porter at a Bristol hospital, has an unenviable secret. Some years ago he was attacked by a pack of werewolves and is now one himself. His friend and co-worker John Mitchell, whilst he looks very young, is a centuries old vampire, though he is trying to resist his blood lust, placing him at odds with the vampire leader Herrick.
