This film is unbelievable.It express the every single piece of my mind. How i wish that i could have seen it earlier.
My English is not good enough, still, i had a strong feeling that i have to write this review in English.
Well, i see a lot of gaps in this film.The gap between parents and child, Chinese Culture and Westen Culture.The relationship between lovers... Thank lord, it's a happy ending, as Chinese say: Family always family.
I found a lot of bond with the leading actress in this film. She represent all my concern, all my situation and anxieties except for that i never grow up in the States.But for a quality time, i hang out with Westerns day and night. i was deeply influenced by them. Well, she could be hesitating some times, and coward a little that also what i did. Always in a dilemma, Why should i put myself into this?Cuz i care too much about other people.
There are a lot of things i don't get it.Why Chinese are so care about their face? Why should we care about what others words? Why Chinese are so judgemental? Why gossip for all the time?Why always setting singles blind date no matter if their not in love. i still remember one of my foreign friend was asking me: Why is every Chinese consider marriage is a task instead of fall in love? What shall i say? I have no idea.Why is everyone living with their parents? Why is they do whatever their parents told them to? They kept laughing about so called Mommy's boy and Mommy's girl. Why Chinese always so serious, why they make everything for a meaning, if there are no meaning, they consider it's useless? Why Chinese people are so timid about sex? I don't have a clue. I feel all of above weird too.
All the harmonious underneath is the ugly truth, i won't pretend it. I don't wanna be fake and hate myself.i don't wanna carry a full volumn of pressure and pretend that everything goes on well. Life is difficult for all of us. There are nothing to be ashamed of.
Well, for me, life is too short, seize the day is the only thing that matters.
