You know,when every character in the story is a freak show,that's a signal ,that you are running out of ideas.
Do you really need to go this far to impress people?A little bit pretentious to me.
I mean,the Sopranos and Godfather,they are not freak shows,they seem alright.Also,these two are fiction,and Boardwalk Empire is based on a true story.If not for this fact ,I would go the other way around.
It's not like I didn't do my homework,I know this show has the same screenwriter of the Sopranos,and if he can make the Sopranos the greatest of all time(arguably),then there has to be a reason he made things like this.
But to me,this fact only makes things worse.It's like "OK,been there done that.Let's try something new ."
Don't give me "this is the 20s,it's supposed to be the era of craziness" It's true,but to this extent?And there's literally a motherfxxker????
