Set in the closely-knit community of Oakdale, IL, the show centers on the complex lives of the Hughes, Montgomery, Ryan, Snyder, Stewart and Walsh families. In April 2007, As the World Turns will celebrate its 51st Anniversary.

Plot Summary:The focus in on the upper class Hughes and Stewart families plus their tribulations in Midwest Oakdale. The Stewarts fade away eventually to be replaced by the rural Snyders and wealthy Lucinda Walsh with her many intrigues.
