莉亚（贝热尼丝·贝乔 Bérénice Bejo 饰）曾经有过一段失败的婚姻，现如今，她只身一人带着八岁的儿子崔斯坦生活。一次偶然中，莉亚邂逅了名为亚伦（亚历山大·费林 Alexander Fehling 饰）的男子，热情善良的亚伦很快就温暖了莉亚那颗冰冷的心。虽然亚伦对莉亚和崔斯坦都非常的好，但是崔斯坦对待亚伦始终充满了敌意，这让亚伦感到非常的苦恼，希望能够尽早一日打破横亘在两人之间的坚冰。 于是，亚伦计划了一次徒步旅行，目的地是位于意大利白云石山脉的度假村，在亚伦的设想里，这次并不算简单的徒步旅行一定能够迅速拉近他和崔斯坦之间的距离，但随着意外接二连三的发生，事态的发展一步一步的脱离了亚伦的控制。
