Paulo Duarte morre. Um aparente suicídio que não convence ninguém: nem à polícia nem à sua irmã Teresa, que decide deixar a sua vida em Lisboa para descobrir o que realmente se passou com o seu irmão. Teresa não se equivoca e a morte de Paulo esconde muito mais do que parece: uma rede de tráfico de armas liderada por Mauro Galdón, empresário de êxito e padrinho de Teresa.
