在阳光明媚的一天，米奇（沃特·迪士尼 Walt Disney 饰）提着皮箱、哼着快乐的小曲子出现在伯班克车站，他最忠实的爱犬布鲁托紧随其后，这对可爱的主仆正准备乘火车前往波莫纳度假。少顷，火车靠站，米奇连忙叫来布鲁托准备上车，谁知刚刚冲入车厢他们就被粗暴蛮横的列车员皮特扔了出来。原来皮特禁止狗狗上车。眼开火车开动了，米奇只得将布鲁托塞入皮箱，连蹦带跳登上了车厢。他叮嘱布鲁托不要出声，得小心蒙混过关皮特这一关。倒霉的是，就在此刻皮特开始查票，布鲁托还是不可避免地露馅儿了。 于是乎，米奇他们和可怕的皮特在火车上进行了一场有趣的捉迷藏……
