这是一部带有浓浓阿拉伯风情的记录体形式的故事片，采用多线制方式和蒙太奇拍摄手法。主线讲一个阿拉伯青年萨伊德（Saïd）追寻自己梦想的过程。他在伊斯兰世界里坚持自己的同性恋生活，是如此的艰辛、孤独，又是如此的平淡、真实。与我们中国环境下很相像。尤其他晚上坐在公园时那闪动的眼神，不安、寂寞、浓浓的忧伤，真是想搂在怀里亲上一口。除此以外我是当阿拉伯风光片看的（实际上也是风光片了）。我挺喜欢他回家乡时那段的，很温馨。
